I actually like The Grand Burstin.
Its a huge Brittania Hotel, that's had big money spent on it this year.
Its rooms updated, they are clean and fresh.
The Executive Room tonight was worth the upgrade with additional amenities including a fridge, and the all important balcony, make a difference.
Its always gonna be a Brittania so don't expect all the bells and whistles, oh and the latest one is NO CASH TAKEN ANYWHERE.
The staff make this place. Warm, friendly, welcoming and often long suffering, I'm impressed - they genuinely make the extra effort, remember me & my partner, and care.

Staied a night in this hotel, was happy with everything considering the price I paied. Room was clean. Best part is location and a view, but, unfortunately my view was of a patking lot. Overall-good stay.

General cleanliness and repair of the hotel was below par. The rooms were also not very sound proofed so you can hear a lot of noise from inside and out of the building. Parking is £5 and wifi is additional unless in the communal areas.

I stayed here with my friend & cat for the night after getting off the ferry & it did the job perfectly. Could be seen as a little bit of a sketchy area at night but that’s not the hotel that’s outside of & we still felt comfortable to walk around to the car at night so it’s not dangerous. There was just a few drunk people around. Overall we had a good stay.
